  • Mr. James M. Mworia is the Chief Executive Officer of Centum Investment Company Limited and its subsidiaries since October 2008.
  • He  has  fifteen    years’   experience and is  the  recipient  of  many regional   and international   awards in  recognition   of his outstanding business leadership. The most recent of this was the Africa Business Leader of the Year award by the Corporate Council of Africa in Washington DC.
  • He is a CFA Charter holder, CPA (K), a Global Chartered  Institute of Management Accountant, a  holder of  LLB from   the University of Nairobi and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
  • He is a Fellow of the Archbishop Desmond Tutu African Leadership Institute.
  • He is the Chairman  of K-Rep Bank and a  non-executive   director of  the  Lewa Conservancy.

James Karoki joined Centum Group as Commercial Director in charge of Real Estate in December 2016. He is responsible for the development and commercialization of the Group's real estate strategy; with operationalization and commercial alignment of Two Rivers being his flagship project.

Mr. Karoki’s regional business development expertise spans more than 10 years growing some of Sub Saharan’s best retail destinations in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and having worked in Ghana and Nigeria. 

He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from United States International University and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers in the USA as well as the Middle East and North Africa regions.

  • Fred Murimi was appointed to the position of Director  for  Centum Capital in August 2015. Prior to this he served as the Corporate Affairs Director  and Company  Secretary for the Company.
  • He  has over 12 years’  experience    in the investment industry and  is  a  Fellow of the Archbishop Desmond  Tutu  African Leadership Institute.

Centum Capital  is the division  of Centum Group charged with the responsibility  of overseeing  the execution  of the Centum 3.0 strategy  through the development  of the investment  grade opportunities  in the eight sectors of focus.

  • Loise Gakumo Was appointed  Chief Legal Advisor  andCompany Secretary in August 2015.
  • She has 13 years’ work experience.
  • Prior  to her appointment, she served  as the Group Legal Manager.

Loise holds a  Bachelor of  Laws  (LLB) degree from UoN. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary.

Farai was appointed to lead the Group Strategy Office in August 2016. In the context of this role, she supports the Group CEO in driving Centum’s overarching business agenda, including leading the optimization of project delivery in line with the Group’s development strategy and ensuring operational oversight across the portfolio. She is also responsible for Investor Relations across the Group.

Farai joined Centum in November 2015 as Head of Healthcare, responsible for the development and execution of the Group’s healthcare investment strategy, a position she still holds.

Farai has extensive experience in corporate strategy, business development and operations. Prior to joining Centum, she held the position of CEO Executive Assistant at Life Healthcare Group, working closely with the CEO in the execution of his agenda, including driving key strategic initiatives within the business focused on growth and innovation. She was also a Senior Project Manager with global strategy consulting firm, Monitor Group, where she led teams in developing solutions to public and private sector client’s strategic challenges across a range of industries.

Farai holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MBChB from the University of Cape Town, and has completed Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) levels I, II and III. She is also a Tutu Fellow, and was voted a Distinguished Emerging Leader by the Womensphere Emerging Global Leaders Summit.

Samuel joined the leadership team as the Group Finance Director in January 2016. Previously, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he rose through the ranks to an Associate Director and where he gained over 10 years of experience in financial advisory and management, audit and risk assurance. 

He holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Planning from Heriot-Watt University (UK) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK). He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
