Centum appoints new Director to the Board
Nairobi July 28th 2010 … Centum Investments Company Limited, the largest listed investment company on the Nairobi Stock Exchange, today announced the appointment of MainaMwangi to join the Board of Directors.
A statement from the company signed by the Chief Executive Officer {iarelatednews articleid="151"} confirmed the new appointment, noting that Mwangi will replace Pauline Muriuki on the Board.
“Mwangi’s appointment to the Board is in line with Centum’s ambition to expand its investment activity across Africa, with a firm focus on Sub-Saharan Africa,” said Mworia.
A seasoned investment banker, his vast experience in the financial services industry spans more than two decades with the last 15 years of those spent holding senior positions in various financial institutions in West, South and East Africa.
Mworia added that Maina Mwangi’sdeep network of business contacts across most of Sub-Sahara Africa combined with his on the ground understanding of the business environment across the Africa would play a key role in expanding our deal pipeline and broadening our sources of capital,” said Mworia.
