Company to propose cross listing in Uganda Stock Exchange
Nairobi August 13 2010…Centum Investment Company Limited will now hold its Annual General Meeting on September 24 instead of August 27 as earlier planned.
A statement from the company’s head office signed by the Chief Executive Officer James Mworia, said that the Board of Centum Investment had decided to postpone the AGM subsequent to the President’s announcement that 27 August 2010 will be a national holiday.
“The decision to postpone the AGM was informed by the fact that the promulgation of the new Constitution coincides with the date initially planned for the AGM.
Mr. Mworia also explained that the directors will be seeking the shareholders’ authority to cross list the Company shares on the Uganda Stock Exchange. “ The cross listing will offer more investors across East Africa an opportunity to access a diversified portfolio of quality investments that have consistently delivered market beating returns.” he added.
He noted that the venue of the planned meeting will remain at Kenyatta International Conference Centre in the Tsavo Ball room and will begin at 10.00 am.
